The aim of this study was to evaluate the fermentation quality and nutritive value of fermented total mixed ration (FTMR) treated with various level of the fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid bacteria (FJLB). The TMR was prepared using ground rice straw, cassava chips, soybean meal, cotton seeds, tomato pomace, dried brewers grains, molasses, urea and vitamin-mineral supplement in ratio of 20.35:40.79:7.24:10.0:5.04:5.04:7.33: 1.37:2.84, respectively, on a dry matter basis. The moisture of all TMR was adjusted with water to 45%. The TMR was treated with the FJLB at 0, 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5% (w/w) of fresh TMR. The FTMR were opened after 1, 3, 5, 7, 14and 25 days, respectively, after ensiling for the chemical analysis. All treated FTMR were well preserved,...

A study on the potential of Lactobacillus plantarum ST1and dried fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid bacteria (DFJLB) as probiotics was conducted with 200 broilers (1-day old). On four treatments were control (basal diet), antibiotic (basal diet + 0.05% OTC) and 0.2% DLABand1.0% DFJLB with basal diet. The birds were arranged in a Completely Randomized Design, 5 replications with 10 chicks per replication in cage. All treatments were not significant difference on growth and feed conversion efficiency in broilers(P<0.05). Significantly, lowest E. coli counts in feces fed Lactobacillus plantarumST1 and DFJLB were recorded compared to control and antibiotic (P<0.05). Lactic acid bacteria counts in cecum significantly reduced in control compared to...

In this study, the influence of fibrolytic enzymes in diet contained tomato pomace as a fiber sources on carcass quality of 2 month old turkeys was assessed. A total of 24 birds were arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). The birds were assigned to 4 dietary treatments: control diet (T1), control diet + 0.2% of fibrolytic enzymes (T2), control diet + 10% of tomato pomace (T3), and control diet + 0.2% of fibrolytic enzymes + 10% of tomato pomace (T4). The results were shown that the carcass quality and breast weight of all groups were no t difference (P>0.05). For meat color, the redness color (a* value) and yellowness color (b* value) of breast were higher in birds fed control diet + 10% of tomato pomace (T3) and control diet + 0.2% of...

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of fat sources on feed intake, nutrients digestibility and organ weight of broiler chicken. Forty-five Arbor Acre broiler commercial chicks, seven day old, were used in a Completely Randomized Design. Birds were individually housed in cage and distilled water was fully supplied. The experiment lasted 21 days. The experimental diets were contained three sources of fat [Tallow (T), Soybean oil (SBO) and Krabok fat (KF)]. At the end of the experiment, it was found that average daily feed intake (ADFI) was 45.43, 41.75 and 46.62 g/d in birds fed T, SBO and KF, respectively (P>0.05). Average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were not statistically different (P>0.05) between groups...
